Minor Midget AAA in 4th season as Hockey Alberta elite stream

Three years ago, Hockey Alberta’s Elite Development Model declared Minor Midget AAA as the league for elite 15 year-olds for the 2007-08 season. There is a minimum of at least one Minor Midget AAA team within an elite draw zone area. Previously known as Midget 15 or Midget Under 16 in past seasons, Minor Midget AAA is now in the fourth official year. During the 2007-08 season, Minor Midget AAA comprised of three Alberta leagues: REM, RAMHL and SAML. The leagues then amalgated for the 2008-09 season to form the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League. AMMHL operates with two conferences: North and South with interlock in the conferences only.
