The 2009 Provincial Championship featured the North and South winning teams from the amalgamated Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League (AMMHL) for the inaugural 2008-09 season. The PAC Timberwolves, North Conference champions, won 3 - 0 over the Calgary CRAA Blue, South Conference champions, in a best-of-five series in a 2-3 format.

The 2010 Provincial Championship last year featured North Conference Sherwood Park Squires in a 3 - 0 series victory over the South Conference Calgary CBHA Rangers.

In 2007 amd 2008. in the first two Provincials, Minor Midget AAA was a round robin tournament between the host, and the 3 winners from the old RAMHL, REM and SAML leagues.
